Emerald Donors was founded in 2018 through a shared understanding of egg donation: the experience of a fertility specialist and a case manager who has been an egg donor herself. That personal connection continues to shape the way we work.

Dr. Markus Nitzschke brings fertility experience across Europe, North America and Asia, as well as medical leadership, to Emerald Donors. As our Medical Director, he supports our team with the medical aspects of egg donor coordination and works alongside the professionals involved in each journey.
For intended parents and donors who would like to discuss the medical aspects of egg donation, Dr. Markus offers a personal consultation. Your treating clinic confirms the medical plan and care for your cycle.
Your Journey
Egg donation involves several people and many moving parts. Our role is to help bring them together, so you know what happens next and who is supporting you.
We help you understand the process before you decide to move forward. When you are matched, we coordinate screening appointments and the professionals involved in medical and legal clearance, explain the next steps, and stay in regular contact.
Where travel is part of your cycle, we help organize the arrangements and accompany you at the destination. Our support continues through retrieval and recovery, alongside the care provided by your clinic.
We help you explore donor profiles and find a match that reflects your preferences and your clinic’s requirements. Once a match is confirmed, we coordinate the screening and clearance steps with the professionals involved, keep appointments and documents organized, and keep you informed as the journey progresses.
For cycles involving donor travel, we coordinate destination arrangements and provide in-person support through an Emerald coordinator. Your treating clinic confirms the medical plan; our team helps your donor stay organized and supported throughout the cycle.
